Marco Bonetti

Kapitano is a DJ, sound designer, and sound researcher whose work explores the intersections of electronic music, global musical traditions, and sonic culture. Active on the international electronic music scene since 2003, he has developed a distinctive approach that blends contemporary electronics, psychedelic influences, and diverse rhythmic traditions into immersive listening experiences.
His performances move across psytrance, progressive sounds, world music, and downtempo electronics, creating a dynamic dialogue between rhythm, atmosphere, and place. At the core of his practice is a strong interest in the relationship between sound, landscape, and community.
Between 2010 and 2018 he lived in Budapest, where he co-founded Visionary Mind Records, a label dedicated to ambient, experimental, and cinematic music. Alongside his musical activity, he has worked as a sound designer, cultural programmer, and educator, developing projects that connect artistic practice, learning, and social innovation.
Since 2019 he has lived between Rome and the Lake Bolsena region, whose landscapes continue to inspire much of his artistic research. Throughout his career he has performed at some of Europe's leading independent electronic festivals, including Ozora Festival, MoDem Festival, and Goulash Disko Festival.
For Bolsena Sonic, Kapitano presents a sonic journey that weaves together electronic textures, ancestral rhythms, and Mediterranean influences, inviting audiences to experience the landscape as an integral part of the listening experience.
