Matteo Cambò
aka skeltron

Matteo Cambò is a composer, electronic musician, and sound artist whose practice moves across contemporary composition, performance, sound installation, and emerging technologies. His work emerges from the intersection of personal experience, artistic experimentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration, creating sonic environments where sound becomes a medium for storytelling, imagination, and spatial exploration.
Graduating in Electronic Music and later specializing in music for video games at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, Cambò combines musical production with an ongoing investigation into electroacoustic composition, theatre music, interactive installations, and soundtracks. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with visual artists, filmmakers, performers, and theatre companies, developing projects that bring together diverse artistic languages and shared creative processes.
His musical language is distinguished by a strong sense of formal coherence, shaped through gradual transformation, repetition, and the organic evolution of sonic materials. Electronic elements continuously interact with acoustic sounds, generating layered textures and immersive soundscapes rich in atmosphere and emotional depth. Within his compositions, tension and contemplation, structural rigor and openness to unpredictability coexist in a constant search for balance between form and perception.
Alongside his artistic practice, Cambò works as a music producer, educator, and developer of tools for sound creation, exploring the creative potential of digital technologies and interactive systems. His works have been presented in exhibitions, artistic residencies, theatrical productions, and live performances in Italy and abroad, reflecting a practice grounded in experimentation, attentive listening, and a deep engagement with the relationship between sound, space, and community.
